The Whole Enchilada
LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE, I am here for the experience.
In the spring of 2006 the love of long distance riding began. With my Dad's Honda Goldwing, I sat off on my first solo adventure. From Valdosta, Georgia fifteen hours and 900 miles later I arrived in Irving, Texas. My love of long distance riding was born. That love laid dormant for a couple of year until my graduation from US Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. The day of graduation was a cause for celebration on two fronts. First I was free for ten whole days, and secondly I bought my first brand new Harley Davidson Roadglide. Riding it From San Diego to Lompoc, California where my parents were stationed at the time. It is amazing how far I could ride in just ten days time. From then I was retired from service to our country in 2012. Since, I have ridden every mile of ten or so interstate highways. Even more US Highways. Motorcycles have came and gone, the love how the open road and constant adventure is true to the travelers heart.
IKnow is a full blooded German Shepard Dog. His unique personality loved by many. He enjoys riding in his trailer on our adventures, sleeping in the back seat of my truck, going to lodge, and squeaking his ball. IKnow started his journey as my Service Dog on November 11, 2013
Name sake
My trusted motorcycle's name is based on this amazing woman. Cpl. April LaNae Rhodes USMC Retired. April was always a Ray of sunshine LaRay did not look right so l LaRae was born. April was taken from this earthly toil way to soon on December 6, 2015 at the age of 29. We were close while we were stationed together at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Her dream in life was to serve her nation and which she did with great pride. She loved traveling as she and I went on a few adventure together. She had a quick wit and was a ray of light in some of my darkest days. Animals and her had a connection, very much like my golf ball on the course if there was water it was going to find it. It was like two magnets when it came to her and animals. I will miss that ear to ear smile, and the infectious laugh.
